NAADVIDYA — Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. DEFINITIONS

  • Session Credit: One pre-paid unit equivalent to one 60-minute session
  • Gross Amount: Total INR paid by student for a credit pack
  • Razorpay Fee: 2% of transaction, non-refundable under all circumstances
  • Goodwill Credit: A compensatory session credit issued by Naadvidya at its discretion

2. STUDENT CANCELLATION RULES

2.1 Mehfil Sessions (individual bookings)

2.2 Riyaaz Workshops (Phase 1.5)

2.4 Cash Refunds (INR)

Cash refunds to source are issued only if:

  • Technical failure on Naadvidya's infrastructure prevents the session entirely
  • Teacher cancels with < 12 hours notice on two consecutive occasions
  • Duplicate payment occurs due to payment gateway error

All other refunds are credit-based (wallet credits only).


3. TEACHER CANCELLATION RULES

3.1 Teacher cancels a confirmed session

3.2 Repeat cancellations by teacher

  • 3 cancellations in any 60-day period: the Naadvidya Gurus review teacher status
  • 5 cancellations in any 60-day period: teacher profile suspended pending review
  • Cancellation pattern due to documented illness or emergency: treated compassionately; no formal strike if Naadvidya is notified within 2 hours

4. PLATFORM CANCELLATION (Naadvidya / System)

If Naadvidya cancels a session due to platform issues (server outage, Daily.co failure, billing error):

  • Full credit refund to student
  • No income deduction from teacher
  • Resend compensatory 10% discount on next credit pack purchase

5. REFUND PROCESSING TIME

  • Credit wallet refunds: instant (within 15 minutes)
  • INR cash refunds: 5–7 business days via Razorpay refund API
  • Goodwill Credits: added instantly by Naadvidya or automated trigger

6. WHAT IS NEVER REFUNDABLE

  • Razorpay transaction fees (2%) — always deducted
  • Sessions where student joined and attended (even partially — 10+ minutes counts as attended)
  • Packs purchased as part of a promotional offer unless the promotion explicitly states otherwise

7. CREDIT PACK EXPIRY

  • Credits purchased do not expire as long as the student's account remains active
  • If a student's account is inactive for > 12 months, Naadvidya will email a 30-day reminder before any expiry action
  • Credits are non-transferable between students

8. HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND

Student or teacher emails: refunds@naadvidya.in with:

  • Name, registered email
  • Session/booking ID
  • Reason and evidence if applicable

Naadvidya will respond within 48 business hours. The Naadvidya Gurus make the final call on all refund decisions.
